Please find our terms and conditions below, which will help us prepare a memorable holiday for you and your family.

Payment Policy

• A deposit of 40% of the total Invoice amount is required at the time of confirmation booking. The balance of 60% is due 45 days before commencement of the tour program.
• If the reservation is made within 45 days of departure then full amount must be paid at the time of confirmation. Any Last-minute booking, we shall request the Agent / Client to pay via Cash (USD) or by bank transfer.

Cancellation

In the event of written cancellation, the following percentage will not be refunded to you. This is because we will have paid off most elements to the service provider.

• 90-61 days prior 20% of the programme cost
• 60-31 days prior 50% of the programme cost
• 30 days or less 100% of the programme cost

Gorilla and chimpanzee Tracking permits are 100% nonrefundable by Uganda Wildlife Authority thus the cancellation policy does not apply here.

We request all our guests that no matter the situations that may lead you to think of cancellation of your trip, the best thing is to postpone – in this case, we will not require any extra fees unless there are extra requirements by you that were not mentioned in the previous program

In most cases, refunds to guests are determined by the cancellation policies of particular service providers thus guests may be favored and others may not be refunded.

Liability:

We cannot accept liability or pay compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by, or you suffer any damage or loss as a result of force majeure. In these booking conditions force majeure means any event which we or the supplier of services in question could not even with all due care foresee or avoid. Such events are likely to include, but are not limited to, war,

threat of war, civil strife, riot, civil disorder/unrest, industrial dispute, actual or threat of terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, breakout of an epidemic or pandemic disease, technical problems with transport, cancellation or amendment to any scheduled flight, closure or congestion of airports or ports, adverse weather conditions and all similar events outside our control. In circumstances amounting to force majeure we will

not refund any money to you although if we can recover any monies from our suppliers we will refund these to you.

Visa Requirement & Passports:

Please check online for your tourism visa requirement. It is your responsibility to submit all relevant documents and obtain a legal travel visa (as per requirement) before you travel.

In case your tour is cancelled or curtailed short due to visa issues, we will be unable to provide you any refund of the tour cost.

It is upon the guest to ensure that passports are valid – Passports should have at least six months of validity after the final day of travel. Beyond Apes cannot be held liable for if guests have no proper arrangement of their personal travel documents.

Photography:

Due to nature of the safari tour, rugged terrain and extremely dusty conditions, we would like to urge to carefully pack all sensitive photographic, electronic and filming equipment, preferably in the dust-proof bags.

Safety and Security:

Uganda and East African region are a very safe, politically stable country/region. In our opinion, visitors have little cause for concern regarding personal safety. This is especially so when traveling on an organized trip and staying at lodges and camps.

Staying safe on Wildlife Viewing Activities:

Your safari guide will ensure your safety at all times – listen carefully to instructions and follow the park’s rules at all times. When on a self-drive safari, don’t drive too close to wildlife and only leave your car in designated areas where it is safe to do so.

Staying safe in Cities and Towns:

Uganda’s cities are relatively safe; most crime issues are minor, such as petty theft and pickpocketing. You will mostly be sheltered from these risks when looked after by your guide on an organized tour.

When venturing out in the city unguided, you can easily reduce being at risk by following simple safety precautions: get advice at your hotel before taking a walk in the city; don’t carry any valuables and only take limited money with you; don’t walk after dark, rather take a taxi

Safari Rates:

• All elements are Subject to change depending on the service providers overview of the economy
• Rates are also non-transferrable to another party

Insurance:

• It is essential that you have adequate and appropriate cover for your trip including any adventurous or safari activities such as walking in the parks.

 

• It is important to have adequate insurance which will cover cancellation costs from the date of booking as well as medical expenses (including evacuation and repatriation) and personal belongings.

Upon the above, we request all our quests to read your policy details carefully and take them with you on your trip.
