25 Day – Best of Uganda Safari
Day 1: Meet and Greet with Our Company Representative at Entebbe International Airport
Meet and greet at Entebbe International Airport, where your Uganda Adventure Safari begins. Our representative will warmly welcome you and facilitate seamless arrival formalities. You will then be transferred to your hotel, where you will receive a briefing about your adventure safari.

Day 2: Spend a Day at the Hotel or Explore the City with Our Guide
Arise at leisure today! Your guide will meet you, and you will have lunch together with one of our office representatives. Depending on how you feel, you may visit one or two orphanages around the city outskirts, spending time with the babies whose basic needs depend on your meaningful travel investments. Our guide and office representative will recommend the orphanage homes to visit, so you may carry your donation materials directly to the recommended homes.

Day 3: Flight to Kidepo Valley National Park – Afternoon Walking Safari
After an early morning breakfast, pack your bags with the help of your relatives or friends. You will transfer to the airstrip for a domestic flight to Kidepo Valley National Park, where our representative will meet you and transfer you to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
In the afternoon, crown the day with a walking safari along a sandy dry riverbed fringed with palm trees. We will move slowly along isolated tracks to fully appreciate our surroundings, looking for tracks and signs of animal movements, and stopping to investigate further.

Day 4: Morning Bush Breakfast and Guided Game Drive - Afternoon Relaxation
Wake up and enjoy a snack breakfast before embarking on a game drive. You will likely see herds of buffalos, elephants in the swamps, and giraffes and elands on the drier slopes. Our guides will be able to locate the lions resting on the rocks in the southerly Narus Valley. Afterward, enjoy a bush breakfast prepared by the lodge, then relax by the pool or bar side and enjoy the rock-covered swimming pool and the serenity.

Day 5: Half-Day Cultural Excursion with the IK Tribe – Afternoon Relaxation
In the morning, enjoy breakfast, and your helpers and guide will set up your Joelettes. You will meet with our local site guide, who will accompany you to the Ik people in Morungule Mountain. The Ik, an ethnic group numbering about 10,000 people, live in northeastern Uganda near the Kenyan border. Displaced from their land to create Kidepo Valley National Park, the Ik suffered extreme famine due to tribal raids. They are subsistence farmers who grind their own grain and live in small villages arranged in clusters, each surrounded by an outer wall.

Day 6: Spend a Day Relaxing at the Lodge or Exploring the Wilderness with Your Guide
Today, we will not give you a program. You can spend the day at the lodge, explore the surroundings under the watch of your guide, read a book, or enjoy time at the bar. If you’re a great swimmer, try out the rock-covered swimming pool. You will still see visiting birds and animals, reminding you that you are in the real African wilderness. If you would like to see the wilderness on a game drive again, please inform your guide.

Day 7: Morning Flight Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park – Afternoon Private Boat Safari to the Bottom of the Falls
After breakfast, your guide and family members will pack your bags for transfer to the airstrip for a domestic flight to Murchison Falls National Park. You will arrive in time to relax and explore your surroundings before lunch.
After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise upstream on the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls, stopping just a few meters from the ‘Devil’s Cauldron’. Marvel at the schools of hippos, crocodiles, and, along the 17 km stretch, you may see elephants, waterbucks, and Uganda Kobs. This is also a zone for many bird species, including the goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican, bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant, and the rare shoebill stork.

Day 8: Morning Hot Air Balloon Safari – Afternoon Relaxation or Enjoy the Wilderness
Arise early in the morning and proceed to the starting point of your balloon safari at 5:30 AM, where your guide will assist you. This early drive in the dark is a chance to see nocturnal animals that live in and around the park. You will meet your pilot, receive a safety briefing, and learn about landing procedures. The flight offers great photo opportunities that are different from an ordinary safari on the ground. As you gently drift over the park, watch the sunrise as the savannah below comes to life with birds and animals. After landing, celebrate with a glass of sparkling wine, followed by a delectable bush breakfast prepared by Paraa Safari Lodge. This memorable bush breakfast marks a delightful ending to your ballooning adventure!

Day 9: Spend the Morning at The Lodge – Enjoy a Guided 5-Hour Private Return Delta Cruise
Spend the morning relaxing at the lodge, or your guide will speak to the lodge manager about activities you may wish to do. After lunch, you will be joined by your coxswain for a private boat trip to the delta, where boats run downriver, passing a mosaic of papyrus islands into Lake Albert. You will be able to spot a rich array of birdlife, especially the shoebill stork, in their natural environment, with a chance of encountering African felines at close range. This will perfectly conclude your Murchison Falls exploration.

Day 10: Private Road Transfer to Kibale National Park
After your morning breakfast, begin your journey to Kibale Forest National Park. Drive south via Hoima to Fort Portal through verdant countryside, passing traditional homesteads, farms, and tea estates. You will arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon. Check in at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 11: Chimpanzee Trekking Experience
After breakfast at your lodge, your family, helper, or relative, along with your guide, will pack your Joelettes and transfer you to the starting point for your chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale Forest National Park. This park is reputed to have the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. The most famous of its 13 species is the chimpanzee, man’s closest relative. Kibale is home to Uganda’s largest population of this endangered primate, with approximately 1,450 chimpanzees. It also houses the rare I’Hoest’s monkey, along with other primates such as the black-and-white colobus, blue monkey, grey-cheeked mangabey, red-tailed monkey, and olive baboon. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of wild chimpanzees and other primates.

Day 12: Leisurely Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Spend the Day Relaxing at the Lodge
Wake up at leisure, and let your bags be packed. We will have another road transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, following the mystical Rwenzori backdrop to the park. You may spot some animals en route to the lodge.

Day 13: Morning Bush Breakfast and Guided Game Drive – Explore Kasenyi Lion Mating Grounds and the Crater Lakes
Queen Elizabeth National Park’s diverse ecosystem of grassy plains, tropical forests, rivers, swamps, lakes, and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Enjoy a bush breakfast followed by a guided game drive, where you will have an opportunity to view the massive Rwenzori mountains as a backdrop, which provides excellent opportunities to spot lions, leopards, giant forest hogs, Cape buffalo, elephants, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kobs, topis, and bushbucks. The game drives are memorable methods of discovering a vast array of Ugandan wildlife. Be sure to have your camera ready for these amazing sightings!

Day 14: Spend the Day at the Lodge – Afternoon Private Sunset Boat Safari on Kazinga Channel into Lake Edward
Wake up at leisure and fall in love with your surroundings. Enjoy a hot lunch, and later in the afternoon, take a unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos and offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching, and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and astounding, with well over 550 resident species.

Day 15: Leisurely Wake Up, Visit Katara Women’s Poverty Elimination Projects – Leisure Transfer to Ishasha Sector, Home of Spectacular Tree-Climbing Lions
Today, you will wake up at leisure and check out to visit the Katara Women’s Projects. These women have proven that there is gold in elephant dung, as they have made paper, files, books, and other materials from it. Later, enjoy a leisurely transfer to Ishasha Sector, home of the tree-climbing lions, for lunch at the lodge. Relax for the whole afternoon.

Day 16: Morning Bush Breakfast and Guided Game Drive – Relax the Whole Afternoon
Enjoy a delicious bush breakfast, then pursue the wilderness and its inhabitants, highlighted by Uganda’s spectacular tree-climbing lions, as well as numerous birds and mammals. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.

Day 17: Morning Leisure Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After your early morning breakfast, pack your bags and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive takes you through the “Switzerland of Africa” area known as the Kigezi Highlands, with its terraced hillsides and winding roads to Bwindi. Arrive in the evening, check into the lodge for lunch, dinner, and your overnight stay.

Day 18: Gorilla Tracking (Carry Your Wheelchair Joelettes for This Activity or Use a Stretcher Provided by Uganda Wildlife Authority)
After an early breakfast, let your guide and helper carry your Joelettes, and depart to the starting point for a briefing about your gorilla trekking adventure. You will then be led by experienced trackers on the slopes of the volcanoes. Sit on your Joelettes or the stretcher provided by UWA as you head into the jungle, starting from the site where the gorillas were seen the day before. Although the hike can be physically demanding, the anticipation of the exciting experience ahead is amazing, and the beauty of the gorilla forest and its inhabitants is captivating. One of Africa’s major highlights is encountering these gentle apes. It is a humbling experience to stand just meters from our distant cousins as they eat, rest, play, and bond with their young ones. Follow the mountain gorillas as they range freely in the impenetrable forest and discover their gorgeous natural habitat and the many species they share it with. You are allowed an hour with the gorillas before returning to your lodge.
Don’t forget to carry your Joelettes, rain gear, packed lunch, plenty of water, gloves, a hat, and a waterproof bag for the protection of your camera in case of rain.

Day 19: Spend a Day at the Lodge Relaxing – Afternoon Sunset Cruise to Punishment Island
Spend the morning at the lodge, have lunch, and in the afternoon, conclude your day with a return boat cruise on Lake Mutanda to the small island known as Punishment Island. This was where unmarried young girls who became pregnant were taken by canoe to the tiny island and left to die. You will see the remains of those who were punished and left to die in a small open cave on Akampene, Punishment Island. Return to the lodge for dinner and accommodation.

Day 20: Domestic Flight Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park – Mbarara Airstrip
After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for a domestic flight transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, where you will be picked up at Mbarara Airstrip. Lake Mburo National Park is the smallest national park in Uganda, but it has a lot to offer! Centered on a series of swamp-fringed lakes, its birdlife is very rich. The green acacia woodland harbors wildlife like zebras, warthogs, elands, and impalas, not to mention the lake itself, which is home to schools of hippos and crocodiles. Furthermore, the Uganda Wildlife Authority recently brought 15 giraffes from Murchison Falls to Lake Mburo. Spend a day at the beautiful Mihingo Lodge.

Day 21: Morning Walking Safari - Afternoon Boat Safari (Carry Your Wheelchair Joelettes for the Walking Safari)
After breakfast, let your guide and relative/helper assemble your Joelettes. Sit comfortably on them and join your guide for a safari walk under the escort of an armed ranger. The kopjes are particularly interesting, with camouflage kilspringers and topis. It is amusing to see zebras grazing alongside the long-horned Ankole cattle due to cattle herding in the area. Approaching wildlife at such close range is exciting! Return to the lodge and prepare for lunch.

Day 22: Morning Relaxation - Afternoon Horse Ride to the Wilderness
Arise at leisure and transfer to the lodge restaurant for breakfast. Spend the day admiring your environment. After a delicious lunch, a guide will join you for a briefing, and you will be lifted onto the horses to leisurely explore the eastern part of the park.

Day 23: Leisure Transfer to Entebbe with a Stopover at the Equator and the Royal Drum Factory
Arise to a delicious breakfast to bid farewell to the African wilderness. We will then drive to Entebbe with a stopover at the Equator for a water experience, where you will have an opportunity to stand in two hemispheres at the same time. Take some photos before another stop at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers, where you will watch ceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through generations. Arrive in the afternoon.

Day 24: Spend the Day at Leisure – Afternoon Wine and Cheese Sunset Cruise on the Waters of Lake Victoria
Today, we plan to sum up our unforgettable African bush journey perfectly. We will spend the day at leisure, shopping for souvenirs and sampling coffee drinks the country has to offer. Finally, we will conclude this day with a wine and cheese sunset cruise on the waters of Lake Victoria.

Day 25: Departure Depending on Your Flight Time
Today, you will transfer to the airport for your outbound flight back home or to your next destination.
