3 Day – Bwindi Impenetrable NP
Day 1: 7:00 PM Pickup from Hotel/Entebbe International Airport – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Meet and greet in Entebbe or Kampala, where your Gorilla Safari begins. Our representative will warmly welcome you and facilitate seamless arrival formalities. You will then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the Rift Valley. This park is renowned for its mist-covered hillsides, blanketed by one of Uganda’s oldest and most biologically diverse rainforests, dating back over 25,000 years and containing nearly 400 species of plants. More famously, this “impenetrable forest” protects an estimated 459 mountain gorillas—roughly half of the world’s population—including several habituated groups that can be tracked. This biologically diverse region is also home to around 120 mammal species, including primates like baboons and chimpanzees, as well as elephants and antelopes. Additionally, approximately 350 bird species, including 23 Albertine Rift endemics, can be found within this forest.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Experience
After an early breakfast, depart for the starting point to receive a briefing about your gorilla trekking adventure. You will then be led by experienced gorilla trackers on the slopes of the volcanoes, starting from the location where the gorillas were encountered the day before. Although the hike can be physically demanding, the anticipation of the exciting experience ahead is exhilarating, and the beauty of the gorilla forest and its inhabitants is captivating. Encountering these gentle giants is one of Africa’s major highlights, offering a humbling experience as you stand just meters away from our distant cousins as they eat, rest, play, and bond with their young. Follow the mountain gorillas as they roam freely in the impenetrable forest, and discover their stunning natural habitat and the many species that share it. You are allowed an hour with the gorillas before returning to your lodge.
Please remember to carry your rain gear, packed lunch, plenty of water, gloves, a hat, and a waterproof bag to protect your camera in case of rain.
