Day 1: Meet & Greet at the Hotel/Entebbe International Airport - Transfer to Semiliki National Park

Meet and greet at the hotel or Entebbe International Airport, where your Semiliki National Park safari begins. Our representative will warmly welcome you and facilitate seamless arrival formalities. We will then drive west, following verdant traditional homesteads and tea plantations, stopping in Fort Portal by midday for a meal. Depending on our departure time from Kampala/Entebbe and the time available, we may also enjoy a tea experience in Fort Portal, where we will learn about the planting, harvesting, and consumption of tea.

Day 2: Morning Guided Boat Cruise to Encounter the Great Numbers of Shoebill Storks – Full Day Walking Safari to the Hot Springs with Picnic Lunch

After a hot breakfast, we will transfer to Lake Albert for a boat ride, enjoying a morning of relaxation while observing wildlife, including the elusive shoebill stork, which can be best spotted in the morning as it hunts for fish. Later, we will return to the lodge to collect our packed lunch and head to the park offices, where you will meet the park guides and set out on the Sempaya Hot Springs trail. Keep an eye out for monkeys and birds along the trek. The springs erupt boiling geysers up to 2 meters into the air. The water pool boils at 103°C, and to test the temperature, you can place eggs or bananas in the boiling water—within 10 minutes, they will be ready to eat. After returning from the hot springs trek, which will last at least 2 hours (including time at the springs), settle down for your picnic lunch before leisurely transferring back to your lodge.

Day 3: Morning Guided Game Drive – Leisure Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe for Outbound Flight Back Home

Enjoy a quick cup of tea before heading out for a game drive in the Toro-Semiliki Wildlife Reserve to spot various animals, including antelopes, buffaloes, and elephants. After the drive, return for breakfast, check out, and leave for Kampala. We will stopover in Fort Portal for lunch.
