Upon arrival in Entebbe or Kampala, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative, who will assist you with seamless arrival formalities. Your Mgahinga Gorilla National Safari begins here. Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, along with Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, is home to more than half of the world’s mountain gorilla population. As Uganda’s smallest national park, it is distinctive for its shy golden monkeys that roam the bamboo forest canopies and coexist with the silverbacks in the same habitat, earning it the moniker "where Gold meets Silver."

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Experience
After an early breakfast, depart for the starting point to receive a briefing about your gorilla trekking adventure. You will then be led by experienced trackers on the slopes of the volcanoes. The trek begins from the location where the gorillas were encountered the day before. Although the hike can be physically demanding, the anticipation of the experience ahead is exhilarating, and the beauty of the gorilla forest and its inhabitants is captivating.
Encountering these gentle apes in their natural habitat is one of Africa’s major highlights. It is a humbling experience to stand just meters away from our distant cousins as they eat, rest, play, and bond with their young ones. Follow the mountain gorillas as they roam freely in the impenetrable forest, discovering their stunning natural habitat and the various species they share it with. You are allowed an hour with the gorillas before descending back to your lodge.
Don’t forget to carry: your rain gear, packed lunch, plenty of water, gloves, a hat, and a waterproof bag to protect your camera in case of rain.
